One-bag travel is less about minimalism and more about freedom. Here’s a practical way to start.

Choose the right bag

Pick a comfortable carry-on sized backpack or small roller. If it’s too big, you’ll fill it.

Build a repeatable capsule

Stick to 2–3 colors, layerable pieces, and shoes that work for both walking and dinner.

Use a simple packing rule

Try: 3 tops, 2 bottoms, 1 warm layer, 1 ‘nice’ outfit, 5 underwear/socks. Adjust for climate.

Plan laundry, not luggage

A sink wash kit or a local laundromat beats hauling extra outfits.
